Assignment 3 marked a turning point in how I approached app design. From moving from just making things “look good” to actually understanding what users need and why. It was my first real dive into structured UX methodology, where I had to plan features, think through early flows, and begin considering user goals from multiple angles.
At the time, I was still figuring out how to translate research into design, and I often found myself making assumptions instead of asking more questions. But through this assignment, I learned how essential it is to validate ideas with real user logic. Creating wireframes, early journey maps, and concept proposals helped me explore what a Donki app could be, especially when trying to balance brand excitement with everyday usability.
Looking back, the hardest part was staying grounded in a specific user, rather than designing for “everyone.” I started to realize how vital it is to frame features around real needs, such as promotions, localization, or reward flows. These lessons became the foundation for how I approached Assignment 4.
Overall, Assignment 3 gave me space to experiment and make mistakes, but also helped me grow a more strategic mindset. I began to shift from just “what should I put on this screen?” to “what problem am I solving, and for whom?” That mindset carried forward and shaped how I approach UX design today.
