EXERCISE 2: Production Shoot

For this shoot, I was the DOP (Director of Photography) which means I had to capture the scenes as closely as possible following the storyboard.

I made the trailer like as thought the male character has an amnesia and forgot what's important to him, fighting people instead of taking care of his loved one.

REFLECTIONS

Learning production shooting, especially with a focus on TikTok content, was an interesting challenge. Creating engaging content for a platform known for short, snappy videos required a new level of creativity and efficiency. I learned that while TikTok videos are short, they still need careful planning to maximize impact in a limited timeframe. Shooting for TikTok taught me the importance of attention-grabbing first seconds and maintaining audience engagement throughout. This module was a great exercise in adapting traditional production skills, like lighting, framing, and shot composition, to the fast-paced demands of social media content. Overall, I came away with a better understanding of how to apply storytelling principles to quick, impactful digital media, which is essential in today’s social-driven world.
