PROJECT 2: MOTION GRAPHICS

EXERCISE: KINETIC TYPOGRAPHY

PROCESS

We started off by asking the team song choices, Shu En and me suggested Runway Baby by Bruno Mars and Luther by Kendrick Lamar ft. SZA. As the group was agreeable to either, we decided to flip a coin and we got Luther by Kendrick Lamar ft. SZA. I shared a poll for everyone to choose their part, and I chose mine the last. I got the Pre Chorus + Chorus part.

I then proposed the color scheme, mood board, inspiration and references for the team to get started. I also shared the typeface for easy download. I based it of this picture we will be referring to.

I also included the song file for easy access for the team ^^

Everything was going well, but Aman noticed the font size 80px is too small, so we decided to set a new max size for the typeface. It's better to be a range so everyone stays consistent.

I started working on my own video while the team did theirs. This was my outcome!

Pre Chorus + Chorus, my part of the video

After this, I stitched all my teammates videos into one singular file and then uploaded it to YouTube. I think all my teammates did so well as we had references and was clear on how the process was going to  be! I had a lot of fun working on this. This was also a song I listened to a lot, so the process of making it was eventful.
